New Orleans Saints vs.Houston Texans : A Preview
In the season’s first ‘Monday Night Football’ Houston Texans will be meeting at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome at New Orleans. Match between league’s two most offensive sides, though there is no shortage of defense for both.
In their previous encounter, a preseason matchup on 27th August 2017, the Saints routed the Texans 13-0. In overall 13 matches between these two, the Saints are leading by a very thin margin 7-6. While in the last season, the Texans managed to clinch the playoff berth in the wildcard round after finishing top of the AFC South, the Saints past the playoffs to the conference title game. The Saints’ winning percentage was .813 compared to the Texans’s .688 in the regular season.

Within their own division the Texans did well enough, they won divisional title 11-5. Eventually in the AFC wildcard round playoff match lost to the visiting Indianapolis Colts by 7-21. While the XLIV Super Bowl champions finished their season 13-3, made to the conference championship game but controversially lost to the Rams. The controversy of not calling a penalty on interference by Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman, when he hit the wide receiver Lewis with his helmet.
The Saints one of the biggest loss is losing their 8-year veteran running back Mark Ingram, as left Saints for Ravens. Rushing the second-most yards for his club, Ingram rushed 645 yards and scored 6 rushing touchdowns in 2018 season. In his absence, last season the Saints managed maximum 60plus yards and after his return, their average nearly double for the season, so much was his impact on the team. Statistics aside, in his first game for the Ravens against the Dolphins this season, after getting the ball he cruised deep down of the Ravens’ territory to the Dolphins’ 40-yard mark, on the way at once knocking down two players.Can Alvin Kamara, also 2 times Pro Bowl selected, fit in the shoes.Vikings’s Latavius Murray also joined the Saints, with 4.1 yards per carrying, he may also prove to be an effective RB.

With 4.1 yards per carrying for the Texans, 4.3 overall, Lamar Miller is a key entity for the Texan attack and in 2018 he has the most rushing yards and carries for the team and tied with their quarterback for most rushing touchdowns.As , Miller tore his left knee's both ACL and MCL in the preseason ,created a void in the Texan offense .Moreover, the Texan quarterback was sacked 62 in the previous season.So , the Texans have much to worry in facing the Saints. It looks like the Saints might begin their season with quite an uproar.

ReplyDeleteI think that his first amendment rights were violated. I think that the student had/has the right to wear what he wants to a certain point. I might not agree with what is on the shirt but it is something that he wants to wear.
